Stanley Kubrick (J– March 7, 1999) was an American film director, writer, producer, and photographer who lived in England during most of the last four decades of his career. Their "Virgin Years" and later albums became a defining influence in the genre known as New Age music, although the band themselves disliked the term.Īlthough the group has released numerous studio and live recordings, a substantial number of their fans were introduced to Tangerine Dream by their film soundtracks, which total over sixty and includes Sorcerer, Thief, The Keep, Risky Business, Firestarter, Legend, Near Dark, and Miracle Mile. Tangerine Dream's early "Pink Years" albums had a pivotal role in the development of Krautrock. Early in the 1980s, Johannes Schmoelling replaced Baumann, and this lineup, too, was stable and extremely productive. Drummer and composer Klaus Schulze was briefly a member of an early lineup, but the most stable version of the group, during their influential mid-1970s period, was as a keyboard trio with Froese, Christopher Franke, and Peter Baumann. The band has undergone many personnel changes over the years, with Froese being the only continuous member. Tangerine Dream is a German electronic music group founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese. He now also has a strong presence outside of Mexico, particularly in the southwest of the United States. His most famous works are the Camino Real Hotel, the IBM Factory in Guadalajara and the Cathedral of Managua. One of the important contributions of Legorreta has been the use of these elements in other building types such as hotels, factories as well as in commercial and educational buildings. Legorreta uses elements of Barragan's architecture in his work including bright colors, play of light and shadow, and solid Platonic geometric shapes. Barragan, in the 1940s and 1950s amalgamated tradition and the modern movement in architecture yet his work is mostly limited to domestic architecture. Legorreta is a disciple of Luis Barragán and carried Barragan's ideas to a wider realm. He studied architecture at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He was awarded the prestigious UIA Gold Medal in 1999 and the Praemium Imperiale in 2011. He was born in Mexico City on May 7, 1931. Ricardo Legorreta Vilchis is a Mexican architect.
